Welcome. Over the past few years, your barrel has been on quite the journey. While it aged, we used Radio Frequency Identification Data (RFID) technology to keep track of it.
This technology was used to keep track of quite a lot, like the dump date, at which of our four campuses it was stored, how long it aged and more.
A lot can happen between distillation and maturation. See what happened the month your barrel was filled.
Weather plays a huge role in aging. Changes in seasons and swings in temperature create an expanding and contracting effect that allows the barrels to “breathe.”
This was the day your bourbon’s flavor was locked in. It’s also the day, with a swing of a bung hammer, your barrel was opened and emptied.
